Aaron came to EM-Assist as a recent graduate from Brigham Young University – Hawaii, where he studied Information Systems and Instructional Design and Development. Through an innovative mentoring program at EM-Assist, Aaron was able to pursue and acquire additional skill sets in print layout and design and intermediate Flash development through the guidance of an experienced coworker and mentor. After nearly two years at the Training Solutions Division in Salt Lake City, Aaron moved to EM-Assist’s Denver office.

My Mentoring Experience:

“Shortly after joining EM-Assist, I was offered an opportunity to participate in EM-Assist’s formal Mentor Program. I was paired with a veteran Multi-Media Developer and was encouraged to cooperatively create goals and objectives to develop additional skills in which I was interested. Over the course of the next year I worked with my mentor and gained valuable experience and on-the-job training in print layout and design, and Flash development. I was able to apply these new skills directly to client projects and expand my role at EM-Assist.”

“After a great experience working in Salt Lake City for almost two years, I approached my managers with an interest in moving to Denver. EM-Assist was very accommodating in allowing me to move and work from the company’s Denver office, which has allowed our family to be closer to relatives in Colorado.
